Recommended Reading…

I am currently reading Commencement by J. Courtney Sulliven…it’s an easy, light summer read.  I recently finished reading The Piano Teacher by Janice Y.K. Lee and The Samurai’s Garden by Gail Tsukiyama…both very enjoyable.

What do you want to read? Please tell us!

Yes or No JacketSometimes our patrons help US find a good read.  I’m just finishing “Yes” or “No”: The Guide to Better Decisions: A story, by Spencer Johnson, MD.  He’s the Coauthor of The One Minute Manager and Who Moved My Cheese (along with Kenneth Blanchard, PhD).

When a patron came in and asked for “all of their books”, it caught my attention.  I had heard of these two books, classics in business management.  But didn’t think that “Average Jane” would find them useful.

These books are quick and light, with simple concepts that stick with you after the book is done.  I’ve read One Minute Manager (more oriented towards work or organizations) and “Yes” and “No” The Guide to Better Decisions (great for anyone). … Now, onto the “Cheese” course.

So, please share your thoughts and questions about books, music, and movies (and more) with us!  Help us build your library collection!
