Good News for Kindle Owners!!!

According to the Wall Street Journal, our Patrons who now own Amazon’s ever-popular Kindle electronic readers may soon be able to borrow digital books from our Overdrive collection.  Amazon is planning to launch compatible software later this year although no firm date has been set.  We will all have to wait and see how negotiations progress.

Currently, Simon and Schuster and Macmillan do not sell their digital works to libraries.  Never-the-less kindle users may have access to more than 300,000 eBooks and audio-books, depending on the deal struck with the parties involved.

Keep checking back on this blog and our homepage.  We will keep our Syosset Kindle owners as up to date as we can!
